How to Enroll with Shoreline’s Cascade K-8 School located at the Aldercrest Campus
Cascade K-8 Community School is a choice school for all Shoreline and Lake Forest Park families. Enrollment is open to all K-8 students in the Shoreline School District. We are also open to 6th-8th grade students who live outside of the Shoreline School District boundaries.
If you’re new to Cascade K-8 and interested in enrolling your kindergartener - 8th grader in our school you will first need to attend a tour of the school. Find a tour date.

CK8 Kindergarten Lottery & Waiting List Info
There is no registration required to attend an in-person tour. For specific questions about enrollment or to register for a ZOOM tour, please email the parent tour coordinator at info@cascadek8ptsa.org.
When you attend a school tour, you'll receive an application for enrollment at Cascade K-8. Attendance at a tour session is required prior to submitting an application.
If you require an interpreter, please contact our office manager via phone or email at least three school days prior to the tour you plan to attend.
Grades 1 - 8 All grades except 8th currently have a waitlist.
Step 1: Attend a tour in person or via zoom. Find a tour date.
Step 2: Turn in completed Cascade K-8 Enrollment Application
You will receive a Cascade K-8 Enrollment Application at the end of a school tour, which can be turned in via email or in person to the Cascade K-8 office manager, Jennifer Seffernick jennifer.
- If you are offered and accept a spot with Cascade K-8, a resident transfer form will be needed to transfer from your Shoreline neighborhood school to Cascade K-8. Please do not submit this form prior to accepting a spot with Cascade.
Step 3: Our school team will periodically review applications and reach out to families once there is a space available.
