Student Leadership Opportunities

Welcome to Cascade K-8's ASB Page

Each year, a group of 7 elected Journey students lead classroom representatives from each classroom in the building.  They plan and decide events for our school community ranging from extra-curricular socials, community building events and community service projects. This year, like everything else, ASB will look differently, yet the need to build community within our school is more important than ever.

Every year we ask our Journey students to lead ASB (Associated Student Body).

The positions on the Executive Council are:

President: Provides overall leadership, runs meetings.   Must be a 7th or 8th grader

Vice Presidents (2)- Assist the president, provide leadership for younger representatives

Secretary: takes minutes, helps to fill out all paperwork

Treasurers (2): counts money for fundraisers and charity events, present annual budget

We really like to have an older, experienced treasurer (7th or 8th) and a younger treasurer (6th or 7th) so the experienced one can train and assist the younger treasurer.

Activities Coordinator: leads, organizes, and promotes school wide and Journey-only activities

Class Representatives:

2 representatives will be chosen from each K-5 class
