Instead of using shared materials, our Journey students will be building the life skill of responsibility by brining and managing their own supplies. Please label appropriately.
Our experience is that some shared supplies are still needed so students are successful in the classrooom, those are listed as well.
Individual Materials (please label)
- Grade 7/8 - Students need a calculator. We suggest a Scientific calculator that will be usable through grade 12. (TI-30XA or similar preferred. Contact teacher if this is a hardship.)
- All students need one of these system for organizational purposes. Let your student offer input on how they plan to organize themselves.
- 1 accordion file with at least 6 sections OR
- A set of 6, two-pocket folders. Plastic holds up better if students are using these daily.
- Writing and art supplies (pen, pencil, glue stick, colored pencils, ruler, markers, etc.)
- 2 erasers
- 1 manual pencil eraser
- Backpack or book bag
Shared in the classroom
- 1 full-size boxes of facial tissues
- 48 count, Ticonderoga pencils, sharpened, if possible
- 3 glue sticks
- 2 spiral notebooks
- Gridded (graph) composition books - 2, labeled w/student name
- College ruled composition books - 2, labeled 2/students name
Later in the year...
- Walking/hiking shoes for overnight camps/field trips
STEAM Class (optional, always needed):
- Straws (full-size & skinny)
- Hot Glue sticks
- Masking tape
- 'Painters' Blue Tape
- Duct Tape
